FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kelsey Simonson and Brian Laird
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We recommend cocktail attire for guests.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Due to restrictions at the park, we will not have transportation offered for guests to or from the ceremony. We recommend either driving or using a ride share service. If you are driving, please see the notes about parking and be safe!

Question

Where do we park for the ceremony?

Answer

Allaire State Park has a paved parking lot near the Chapel. All guests may park vehicles in the lot and check in as a guest at the toll booth on the way to the chapel. Payment to park or enter the grounds is not required for wedding guests, just let them know you're here for our wedding! Please do not leave any vehicles in the parking lot after the service.

Question

Where do we park for the reception?

Answer

There are various street parking options and a large parking lot across the street from the Palmetto that utilizes a pay-by-plate system. The app can be downloaded here: https://www.asburyparkapp.com/ There is also metered street parking available near the reception. Roughly four blocks inland from the water, paid parking is not required.

Question

Can I bring my children, a guest, or other family members who are not listed on my invitation?

Answer

To keep our celebration intimate, we are only able to accommodate the guests specifically named on each invitation. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with those invited. Please see specified guests on your invitation or the RSVP feature on our website.

Question

Other notes about the ceremony:

Answer

Our ceremony will be held in the historic Allaire Village Chapel at Allaire State Park. Please note, with this intimate ceremony, the 180-year old Chapel has limited seating. There are heating and cooling capabilities as needed within the chapel depending on the weather. There is a ramped entrance to the chapel for those who need, please reach out to us with any other accessibility concerns.
