We're getting married!

Like all romance stories begin, we met online. Bennett swiped right because he thought Kelsey looked like a cute soccer player. Kelsey swiped right because she saw that Bennett had an adorable dog and he was alright too. We officially met at Evil Czech Brewery, which lasted a solid twenty minutes because Bennett was scared he was going to screw it up. Kelsey, being completely charmed by his weird, but hilarious personality, agreed to another date. After a few weeks of secretly dating, slightly embarrassed that we met online, the cat was out of the bag that we were a couple.

It was evident that we have a TON in common. First, our love for our dogs. Most nights you can find us cuddled up with the two beloved fur babies, eating Mac n Cheese and binge watching some sort of Netflix show. On weekends you can find us at any number of breweries (preferably in Southwest Michigan), kayaking on the water, or really just anywhere outside with our friends. Every couple of months we attempt to take a vacation to a bucket list location. Just in the two years we have been dating, we've visited nine states and one foreign country. And trust us... we're only getting started!

After a full day of ziplining in the rain forest of Costa Rica, we found ourselves ending the night in one of our resort's hot springs. Kelsey was swimming around enjoying the peaceful night, while typical Bennett was pestering her to go get a drink at the bar. After many failed attempts, Kelsey's mom intervened and insisted Kelsey go with him to get a drink. Wanting to return to the hot springs quickly, she began speed walking to grab a drink. Bennett unable to keep up and falling behind on what he'd hoped was going to be a leisurely walk, he had no choice but to fake a fall. Bennett yelled out in fake pain and Kelsey turned around to Bennett on one knee and a small box in his hand. Kelsey was completely oblivious to what was actually happening and asked him twice if he was ok before finally realizing Bennett was proposing. After a heartfelt speech, crying, LOTS of shaking, and almost vomiting, we were officially engaged! We were able to spend the remainder of our adventurous trip in Costa Rica as the future Mr. and Mrs. Blazo.
