The time was September of 2020 in Atlanta, GA, during the depths of covid lockdown. Both of us were a little nervous to go on a date with someone met on a dating app, but knew there was something special this time. It may have been a dreary evening, but even a downpour couldn’t stop the sparks from flying! It was clear from the beginning there was a connection, so we said our goodbyes, but couldn’t get the other one out of our heads. We tried to play it cool, but in reality wanted to meet up again as soon as possible so we got another date on the books! After a few more dates we became “official” and started spending a lot of time together, which was made easier with our houses only two miles away. As time went on we really started to see this as a long term relationship. We each saw a caring, responsible partner with a stable job, a great community and housing situation, so naturally we decided to quit our jobs, uproot our lives, and start traveling the world together!
