One of my best friends since 3rd grade Krystal, planned her Bachelorette party in St Pete. We got all dressed up, went out to dinner and then headed downtown to go bar hopping. When we got downtown we started playing a bachelorette party game that had us doing different tasks based off cards we had picked. For each bar we went to, we had to pick a new card. The first card I picked was "get a guys number". I didn't see anyone I wanted to ask so I said I would do it at the next bar. After scoping out the place, we went out on the patio of Parks & Rec and I kept making eye contact with this handsome guy. After all the girls approved, I walked up to him and told him we were playing a bachelorette game and asked him for his number. He smiled & laughed and said "Yeah, gave me his number and said, my names Adam". We ended up spending the rest of the night hanging out with his friends, dancing and he bought me drinks (Adam- top shelf because I ball like that). He said he was going to move to Melbourne to attend FIT for a Masters Program. I told him my mom and step dad lived there and that after graduation I planned on moving to Melbourne. After 3 dates Adam asked me to officially be his girlfriend. The rest is history.
We had a Big NYC trip planned and I was so excited! I've never been and I was going to meet some of Adam's family for the first time. In the back of my mind I was thinking, "Thats when he's going to propose". The week before our NY trip we booked last minute to attend the ICE winter events at the Gaylord Palms. Pete, Donna, Kyle, Adam & I all drove over and had a day filled of activities. We walked around and saw beautiful Ice sculptures (it was 9 degrees), had hot chocolate, painted some reindeer at Santa's workshop, got Gingerbread men to decorate at home and threw snow balls. After, we decided to walk around the Atrium in the center of the Gaylord Palms. There was a beautiful waterfall, koi fish and a bridge. We walked in about 2 or 3 circles and I asked, "What are we doing next?". No one really answered so I just kept walking. We ended up on the beautiful bridge near the waterfall. I said, "oh, looks like they are setting up a wedding, what a beautiful location for something like that." Pete is trying to distract me because behind me was Donna putting an engraved bracelet on the ground. Adam said come here, he then pointed to the ground and said "Whats that?". I picked up the bracelet that has a charm attached (of course looking at the opposite side thats not engraved). I'm like I don't know someone must have lost their bracelet. I finally turn it over, and it read "Kelsey Marry Me!! 4-3-21 Love You Adam!" I was in such complete shock, When I turned to look at Adam he was on one knee with the ring and officially asked me to Marry Him. I was so excited I forgot to say YES!
