Lake Tahoe 6.16.22, our 10 year anniversary

Our adventurous personalities, love of the mountains, and enjoyment on the water led us to Lake Tahoe. We wanted a unique and fun day, and that's what we got. The day started out by putting on our wedding attire and heading to Northstar ski resort. Once there, we took multiple gondolas and chair lifts exploring the mountain. Last time we were at Northstar was 3 year ago and they were estimated to get 4 feet of snow. That was the first and only time we have had to put chains on a vehicle. Okay back to elopement day. After Northstar we picked up our family at the Airbnb we were all staying at (Kelsey's family Paul, Mary Jo and Kayla and Alec's family Lisa, Tim, Mitch, Madison, Emily and Andy) and headed to Stateline fire lookout on the north side of the lake on the Stateline. This is a couple mile hike at 12% grade that has 180 degree views over Lake Tahoe. We all made it, with cripple Kelsey leading the entire time with her torn ACL. All 4 wiener dogs made the hike with 3 of the 4 needing to be carried on the way up - Bode was the lone trooper. Once at the top we had a private ceremony with personal vows, a first dance and shot ski action! After the hike back down, we returned to our Airbnb where a personal chef had horderves ready for us. She then kept bringing plate after plate of food (Main course was an angel hair birds nest pasta with lemon garlic sauce and chicken), and then ending the night with tiramisu. Once dinner was over, Alec and Kelsey headed out with the photographer to a beach along the water. When we got to the beach, it happened to close early, so we were forced to go a few more minutes down the road to a nude beach (Secret Cove) which there were more people then we were expecting. Don't worry there are no nudists' in our pictures that we have seen. The day was absolutely perfect for us. The private and secluded location, the epic views, our little daschund boys, and our immediate family present made our hearts so full. While it may have come to a shock to many of you (as our family was able to keep it a secret), we did start planning the day as far back as last fall. We wanted the day to be unique and memorable - and we got just that! Thank you all for the support and love since our special day. We appreciate all of you!

For all the days along the way
