Kelsey and Kory met in high school where many children of the 2000s met - the St. Louis South County mall. This meet-cute took place inside the over cologned, music thumping walls of Hollister where Kory pinned Kelsey's double popped collar with a clothing sensor and the rest was history...well, until college when they both decided to go their separate ways. 10 years later... For some reason, the scene is once again St. Louis even though Kory was living in Seattle and Kelsey resided in Chicago. They were in town visiting family when they decided to grab a drink at Beale on Broadway (RIP) to catch up. The happy hour turned into 6 and they both felt the sparks as Marquis Knox played on in the background. The night ended with a kiss in the rain and a promise to visit Chicago the next weekend.

The month after they moved to Denver, Kory risked his life by waking Kelsey up before sunrise to go on a hike with their pup, Gidget. He packed lunches, waters, and beers. They trekked to a secluded lake and scrambled onto a rock to have lunch & toast the hike. Kory asked Kelsey to unroll the picnic blanket and inside was a ring box. They popped Bud Light to celebrate!
