While we love the little ones, this will be an adult only event (with the exception of immediate family). Parents please use this time to enjoy yourselves!
We would like to ask that all of our guests come dressed their best! We are kindly requesting cocktail to semi-formal attire. While we're not asking for tux, ties or ball gowns, we do ask for no jeans, t-shirts, etc. When choosing a color scheme, we kindly ask to stick to the warmer fall colors (i.e. dark reds, dark oranges, navy blue, black, dark browns). Ladies (and men) please be mindful of footwear since everything will be outdoors! If you're going for heels, we recommend something with a chunky heel.
Our celebration will be 100% outdoors from start to finish. While we want everyone to look their best, please be mindful of footwear. The dancefloor itself is tiled, while the surrounding area will be mostly grass and mulch.
Given that this is an all outdoor event, please keep in mind the time of year and likely weather as we want everyone to be comfortable! At time of ceremony we can expect mid 60's to low 70's. Reception will be held under the tipi's (fully covered overhead, with heaters) as well as the entire open air space (this will include 3 fire pits!).
The venues name is Elm Pass Woods, all rental places tend to let you use that as a location to input when searching! But here are a couple of recommendations as a starting point: Comfort (12 mins away) has options including The Meyer Hotel and Camp Comfort. Center Point (at least 2 mins away) has many different AirBnb and VRBO options as well as a spot called Tree Top River Cottages situated right along the river. Kerville (15 mins away) will be your place for more traditional hotels. AirBnb and VRBO are a good option for anything else. Please understand this is not a big city wedding and we encourage you to enjoy all that the Hill Country has to offer!
We have found an AMAZING photographer who is set on working hard to capture all the best moments for us as well as all of you. We would like to kindly ask that you keep all phones and devices away during the entirety of the ceremony. Cocktail hour and any time during the reception are free game!
