Over the course of our 7 year relationship, we have been asked many times “When’s the big day?” Well friends... that day is finally coming! There have even been a few people who have pressured Corey into asking for my hand in marriage. And yes, I mean pressured. Thankfully, unlike me, Corey was given the gift of patience. When people have asked about these future plans, I would laugh, nudge Corey, and ask, “Yeah babe, when?!” To be completely transparent, there were times where doubt and frustration would fill my mind. All I wanted was to be Corey’s wife. What I didn’t know is that God has spent the last 7 years of our lives completely transforming our hearts so that I could become a Godly wife and Corey a Godly husband. I’ve known for a long time that I wanted to marry Corey. Just because you know, doesn’t mean you're ready. It’s all in His timing. We have been abundantly blessed by God in the waiting. Over 7 years, we have walked through many seasons with one another, and through each one we were able to learn new things about one another. We have been able to grow closer to God individually so that when we join together in unity, we can serve the Kingdom of God for HIS GLORY, together. We have learned the meaning of patience and obedience. We have been transformed. All of these things happened while we were waiting for the gift of marriage. He has been present in our waiting and He is present in yours too.
