Meeting at Otis Mountain

Coleman and Kelsea met in September of 2015 at Otis Mountain Get Down, an intimate music festival nestled in the heart of the Adirondacks in upstate New York. Kelsea traveled from NH in a car full of friends, winding their way up through VT and around Lake Champlain. Coleman traveled up from Charleston in a Sprinter with the band Stop Light Observations as they toured their way up and down the east coast. Stop Light happened to be the band Kelsea was most looking forward to seeing. During SLO's soundcheck, she first glimpsed Coleman and was surprisingly smitten with his sense of humor, long hair, and the way he rocked an American flag bandana. SLO put on a memorable show as the sun went down. Later that night, Kelsea noticed Coleman in the crowd and when he turned around, they locked eyes. He immediately made his way through the crowd, took her hand, and started dishing out some Charleston swag dance moves. It was pretty much over from there. After a few hours together and a quick exchange of email addresses, they went their separate ways. Six months later, Coleman flew up to NH and helped Kelsea load up a U-Haul and move down to Charleston. Nearly a decade later, they continue to live in Charleston with their daughter, Juniper, their two dogs, and two cats.
