The Last Chance Tour Train is a fun way to see historic Helena! For $10.00/person, the train provides views of the MT State Capitol Building, Cathedral, mansion district, Reeder's Alley, and Old Fire Tower. Tours depart from the Montana Historical Society, Monday- Saturday at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 5:30 pm.
The Montana State Capitol is a stunning building on the outside with beautiful paintings on the inside! Although guided tours are not available, you can still explore the Capitol on your own with self-guiding tour booklets. Fun Fact: The acoustics within the Capitol building are fantastic -- Kelsey performed for the former governor with her high school choir.
Its breathtaking architecture and stained glass windows make this building a landmark of Helena, Montana. Guided tours are available Tuesdays-Thursdays, 1:00-3:00 p.m, but the Cathedral is always open for people to visit; please note Mass schedule. The north doors of the Cathedral are open to visitors.

Located within walking distance to the Montana State Capitol, the MHS Museum is an excellent educational experience.
