We always joke that we were only supposed to be a summer fling. Eight years later, with a beautiful daughter and a whole lot of love, here we are getting married. We’ll be saying “I do” in an intimate ceremony on Sanibel Island, but we couldn’t imagine celebrating without all of you. Like many great love stories, Julia and Shaun’s began with a little help from Mom. Julia and Shaun’s mother, Linda, worked together at a salon for about a year. On the last day Julia and Linda worked together before the Kelly family left for a trip to the Bahamas, Linda jokingly mentioned that if Julia were just a little older, she could set her up with her son. Naturally, Julia asked to see a picture. She liked what she saw… so she took matters into her own hands and added Shaun on Facebook. Shaun hesitated when the request popped up, but curiosity won and he added her back. While he was away in the Bahamas, he finally sent Julia a message, and the two spent the entire trip texting nonstop. The day after he got home, Shaun took Julia on their first date. From that day on, their love story truly began—proving that sometimes all it takes is a Facebook request, perfect timing, and a mom named Linda.
