We both had summer jobs at Home Depot in the Garden Centre. At first I thought he was my supervisor and I was super uncomfortable around him because I thought he was really cute. This discomfort soon went away after he opened his mouth - he turned out to be a total dork, I loved it. We became great friends at work, always finding out ways to work in the same aisle so we could chat. We bonded over our love for traveling, books, dad movies and general dislike for Home Depot Customers. Excited to make a husband out of my best friend.
After a wonderful dinner at Supply and Demand, he took me downtown to the National Art Centre to listen to the orchestra play Christmas music. We planned this date a few weeks in advance and we usually go out for dinner and a show for Christmas - so I wasn't expecting anything was out of the ordinary; little did I know, Adrian was walking around all night with my ring in his pocket. After the show we took a walk in Major Hill's Park to look at the Christmas lights. He took me to the lookout infant of the river, he made a comment about how beautiful the view was - I ruined the moment by responding "Yes, I am. Thank you." Poor guy... So next thing I know he takes my hand, gets down on one knee and asks me to Marry him. Obviously I said yes.
