Tim and I met in 2008 when we were sophomores at Manhattan High School and we became friends. During our junior year of high school, I told Tim that I liked him and that he should ask me out, so he did! While dating, one thing we liked to do was go to Haunt at World's of Fun. We would go with my sister Kristin and her husband to go on rides and go through haunted houses. We always had a lot of fun! Kristin or I always had to lead the way during the haunted houses cause the guys were too scared! So on October 26, 2019 Tim took me to Haunt for my birthday. It was just me and him at Worlds of Fun, but we did go to my sister and husband's house before to watch K-State beat OU! It was very crowded at Worlds of Fun and we waited in long lines the entire night, but we had fun! If you know anything about Tim, it's that he hate heights and would never go on the Mamba, but it's one of my favorite roller coasters. So he told me that we would go on it for our final ride of the night since going to Worlds of Fun was my birthday present! So waited around an hour in line for the ride. I had a blast, but Tim said he would never go on it again. Once we got off the ride, he told me that his knee was bothering him and he wanted to sit down. We found a quiet area right by a scare zone. Tim told me he had to tie his shoe and if I could make sure none of the scary people would bother us (I should have known something was up). After a minute or so Tim told me to turn around. He was down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said "Are you serious, you aren't kidding?" Then I said yes! So here we are after 10 years of dating... we are finally getting married!
