FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 25!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcome at all events except for the reception. If you're bringing kids into town, we're happy to help arrange babysitters for the evening.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided. The Church is close to Navy Yard and accessible by car or rideshare. The reception is within walking distance of both hotels.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There's plenty of street parking around the Church, as well as readily accessible Ubers/Lyfts. There's a parking lot located next to the reception. Guests can either self-park or valet their cars.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to get settled and grab a seat!

Question

What should I do if the room block is full?

Answer

If you learn that the room block is full, please contact us! We'll reach out to the hotel to see if we can increase the block. We recommend booking early!

Question

Can I attend all events?

Answer

Yes! You can join us at any of the events listed on the website. We just ask that you please RSVP so that we get a general headcount. However, if you change your mind week of, don't sweat it! There's room and it's fluid. Note: The event for Friday night is open to all guests following the private rehearsal dinner.

Question

Is it an open bar?

Answer

There will be an open bar at the wedding. Food and alcohol will not be covered at the Thursday and Friday evening events. We encourage you to grab dinner beforehand or plan to order food at the restaurant/bar. Food and alcohol will be covered during the Sunday Brunch.

Question

Sunday Football

Answer

If you're hanging around the area or local, we'll be watching Sunday football at one of our favorite spots near Navy Yard. Weather permitting, we'll be at The Brig with reserved tables. If it's pouring, we'll go to plan B - stay tuned. Go Jets!

Question

Getting Around DC

Answer

There are numerous options for getting around Washington, DC. We recommend using rideshare services, the metro or walking. Parking can be extremely challenging in heavily-trafficked areas, so we recommend leaving your car parked at the hotel if you're going to any of those areas. There are multiple pass options for metro. We recommend purchasing a metrorail card ($10) if you plan to use metro over the course of several days. Please note that you may need to add additional funds to your card as new cards only come pre-loaded with $5. If you plan to use the metro multiple times throughout the course of one day, you may want to consider purchasing the 1-Day Unlimited pass ($14).

For all the days along the way
