Long answer: The year was 2011, Terry was a senior while Kelly was a freshman. Kelly, not having declared her major yet, and Terry, completing his elective credits, met in a Native American Studies class. As their one year of college overlap progressed they became friends. After Terry graduated, a common touch point for the two of them was their birthdays. As most of you know, Terry and Kelly have the same birthday! At the time, they found it fun, now they’re debating celebrating their birthdays on different dates. During Kelly’s senior year fall break, she visited San Francisco with her best friend, Veronica, and stayed with Terry in his very San Franciscan Victorian apartment. Terry played host well enough that during this trip Veronica and Kelly fell in love with San Francisco. After Kelly graduated, she moved to North Carolina to live and work at the beach with her cousin/sister/best friend, Megan! Kelly and Terry lightly kept in touch, and once the summer was coming to an end, Kelly knew that she wanted to live in San Francisco. Fun-employeed Kelly moved back home in Riverside to begin her job search, kept in touch with Terry as they often arranged LA and SF visits to see each other. On Valentine's day of 2016, Terry found out that he had to move out of his “sweet” Victorian apartment. After only “officially” dating for a few months, it was clear to both Terry and Kelly that they wanted to be with each other more often and decided to move in together. Now, almost 6 years of dating and four SF apartments later, they’re planning their wedding and ready to celebrate with loved ones!
