From La Guardia to West Point LaGuardia Airport New York, Queens, NY 11371, USA LaGuardia Airport is the closest major airport in distance/miles. However, Please keep in mind the route to West Point from LaGuardia involves two major toll crossings and typically has more traffic than the route from Newark International. 1) Follow signs out of the airport to Grand Central Parkway, and merge on going West. 2) Continue on Gran Central Parkway, crossing the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge and following sign for the Bronx. 3) Merge onto the Major Deegan Expressway towards Albany. 4) Follow signs to I-95 George Washington Bridge and take exit towards bridge. 5) After crossing bridge, take exit 74 and merge onto Palisades Pkwy North. 6) After 37 miles, stay right to the Bear Mountain roundabout 7) Exit the roundabout on 9W/US-9W N. 8) After 2.5 miles, merge onto Main St/NY-218 9) After a mile, turn right onto West point Highway and continue until you are at the gates of West Point.

From JFK to West Point JFK is also a large airport that will offer a variety of flights coming from the West Coast; as well as offering easy train access into NYC . However, for guests who are flying; Newark is the better option. 1) Follow signs out of the airport to Van Wyck Expressway (I-678 N) and merge on. 2) Continue following I-678 for 14 miles over the Whitestone bridge 3) After crossing the bridge, merge onto I-95 South to George Washington Bridge. 4) Follow I-95 S until you cross George Washington Bridge. 5) After crossing bridge, take exit 74 and merge onto Palisades Pkwy North. 6) After 37 miles, stay right to the Bear Mountain roundabout 7) Exit the roundabout on 9W/US-9W N. 8) After 2.5 miles, merge onto Main St/NY-218 9) After a mile, turn right onto West point Highway and continue until you are at the gates of West Point.

From Manhattan guests can access West Point via train Metro-North has rail service from Grand Central Station in mid-town Manhattan, up the east bank of the Hudson. Trains to Garrison, NY, directly across the river from West Point, take approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes and cost a little under $15. Once at the Garrison station, guest can take a taxi to West Point/The Thayer Hotel. Uber service is limited and not dependable.
