It all started on an August afternoon at a friend’s pasta night—because what better way to meet than over good food and great conversation? As fate would have it, we connected instantly, bonding over mutual friends and, of course, pasta. From that night on, our paths kept crossing: birthday celebrations, $1 beer nights at Claddagh’s, Ravens tailgates, and competitive game nights. But it wasn’t until one particularly long—and very bottomless—mimosa brunch in January 2022 that John finally got the liquid courage to make a move…and kissed Susie. That kiss changed everything. From that day forward, we were inseparable. We traveled and ate our way through Italy, rang in the New Year in Key West, and turned everyday moments into memories. There were spontaneous DC staycations, beach days that slowly transformed John into a certified “beach guy” (just as Susie had planned), and countless shared laughs along the way. After three incredible years filled with love, adventure, and a lot of pizza, John proposed to Susie in Fenwick Island—surrounded by the people who mean the most to us.
