We met at TopRank Review Academy while reviewing for the nursing licensure exam. He was from a different school. I thought his group was obnoxious; I don't think he even noticed my group. However, during our break one day, he came up to me, to me and my friends' surprise, and started introducing himself and asking for my number. Fast forward to the next couple days where at one point (and I like to tease him about this) he "accidently on purpose" went to the restroom at the same time as me and started asking about my family (?) or something. Awkwaaaard. Anyways, we then started texting and then he asked me out to the movies for our first date. We watched Pitch Perfect 2. and it was perfect. It just felt like we've known each other forever.
I came to the US on a fiance visa in 2020, so we only had 90 days to get married or else I would lose my visa. Glenn was still recovering from COVID and very sick. We even almost got married in the Hospital!!!! We had a very solemn wedding, largely organized by my mom-in-law, Emilia and Glenn's cousin, Manang Viviane. Guest count was around 20 because of Covid Restriction. We had a 30 min ceremony followed by an outside/garden reception (Covid Restrictions) on July 15, 2020. We loved our intimate wedding, however, we were also sad that a lot of our family and friends were not present in person (it was live streamed). Fast forward to 5 years, we decided to come home and have a "little" celebration for all of our family and friends. I quote "little" because while planning, it has since mutated into somewhat of a bigger event than expected. It is a bit stressful planning a wedding from the other side of the world but I'm lucky to have my 2 Organizer cousins and I am so excited to be able to share my culture with everybody.
