Question

What Should I Wear?

Answer

We're keeping this a semi-formal affair. But, it is still our wedding! Dress nice, think cocktail attire. Suits or slacks, cocktail dress, an elegant jumpsuit- all acceptable! Jeans, flipflops, your junior year prom dress? Not so much. The event takes place outdoors on lots and lots of grass by the water. Which means it may be... squishy. Keep the terrain in mind when picking shoes (flats, fancy sandals, or wedges will likely work over heels). And keep the weather in mind when picking your outfit. October tends to be warm during the day, cooler at night. Keep the weather in mind when picking your outfit.

Question

Where is the Event Taking Place?

Answer

Our venue, Lake at Cedar Hill, is home to every element of our wedding day. When you enter the property you should see signs (and likely a parking attendant) directing you toward parking. From there you should be able to clearly see the ceremony sight down by the water. 4631 Wengers Mill Rd Linville, VA 22834

Question

What is the Parking Situation?

Answer

I know, I know, a lot of you are coming from the DC area. Parking, can be stressful. But, have no fear! There is plenty of room to park. When you enter the venue you'll follow the signs to field parking. The ceremony site will be a short walk from where you'll be parking. After the ceremony you can leave your car and walk a slightly longer walk (just under a mile) uphill to the reception space. If you don't feel up to the walk there will be a 12 person shuttle there to help transport those unable/unwilling to make the walk. A limited number of vehicles may be moved from the bottom parking to street parking uphill. If you feel you will need either option, please reach out to us and give us a heads up.

Question

What if I Have Dietary Restrictions?

Answer

We've done our best to accommodate any know dietary restrictions. We have dairy free, peanut free, gluten free, and vegetarian options. But, if you have any special needs please reach out to us to make sure you will be able to eat.

Question

Can I Take a Centerpiece Home as a Souvenir?

Answer

No, please don't. We worked hard to make these centerpieces with materials predominantly owned by the venue. They don't belong to us and they don't belong to you! Please leave them for future happy couples to enjoy as much as we did.

Question

When should I RSVP by?
