Wedding Party

Jennifer Handlin

Mother of the Bride

I met Kelly on November 7th, 1996 at 4:56 pm. There are so many memorable events that have occurred as she has grown into the strong, beautiful woman she is now, that it's impossible to pick a favorite. Of course, there was the time three-year-old Kelly woke up early and decided to fix herself a bowl of cereal using a colander, then woke up Mike with the phrase "Daddy, it won't work." Another is every look of "OMG Mom" adolescent disgust I got whenever I did something not cool, such as trying to master the art of taking a selfie while checking out at Delia's. That one is ensconced in Facebook history, and I chuckle every time it comes up in my memories. The ones that really stand out now include Theo. Such as hearing the joy in her voice when she spoke about him during the early months and, later seeing how he is her calm when life gets stressful. I look forward to gaining more memories as Kelly and Theo move forward in their life together.

Michael Handlin Jr.

Father of the Bride

Barbara Kruppa

Mother of the Groom

My favorite memory of Theo is when his dad picked him and his brothers up from daycare everyday. Ted would play classic rock music in the car and Theo was really good at guessing the band/singer. One of Theo's favorite songs was "let the bodies hit the floor" by Drowning Pool. One day I got into the van and Ted put that song on and all the kids started "head banging" to that song on the beat. It was HILARIOUS!

Theodore Kruppa III

Father of the Groom

My favorite memory of Theo was his Larry Boy Halloween costume. Larry is a cucumber from Veggie Tales that is a superhero with suction cups on his helmet. I made Theo's costume that year and used a Little Tykes hard hat with mini plungers and spray painted it purple.

Brooke Goff

Maid of Honor

I met Kelly just before 5th grade when she started at the daycare that my neighbor ran out of her home. My younger sister and I used to spend time there helping out with activities and Kelly was the only one who was close to my age ( the rest of the kids were much younger). We did not go to the same school, and she was a year younger than me, but we found that we had very similar senses of humor and more importantly wild imaginations. As the school year ended she began to spend what was nap time for the little kids over at my house swimming or hanging out and those summer days became a lifetime friendship. It is so difficult to pick a favorite memory of Kelly because we've had nearly twenty years of memories made, and we're making more all the time. I always think back on the first time she and I spent an entire week together. I went on a beach vacation with her family, most of which we spent in the pool pretending to be mermaids or making ourselves look mysterious and mature just in case one of the cute older boys was interested (they weren't). But the real reason its's my favorite is because by the end of the week we were absolutely sick of each other that the dunking game we'd been playing became an outlet for our irritation with one another, which sounds terrible but it reminded me of how my sister and I would get on each other's nerves, fight, then move and be best friends again. Kelly has always been another sister to me and I guess it really started with that vacation

Best Man

I remember meeting you when Max brought you over to my house before we went out for endless appetizers and Max tried to kill us with his mixed drinks. My favorite memory is from when I was helping Theo move to Texas just road-tripping halfway across the country, seeing the Bass Pro Shop pyramid wondering what the hell it was, slowly climbing the ice hill to get to Unique's and of course surviving a week stranded trying not to freeze or starve to death once we got there.

I am Kelly's Cousin and my favorite memory together is when we went to NYC with our family. We went out to dinner, I think I was 15 at the time, and I remember the waitress carded Kelly but not me. Definitely will never forget that and the family still talks about it to this day.

Maximum Morowsky

Best Man

Theo and I sat side by side in Intro to Statistics for half a semester without ever speaking to each other. One day, we invited him to lunch, and the rest was history. We all watched as Theo belly flopped into the pool and sunk like a stone to the bottom. Everyone leaped up from their chairs to check on him, but nobody knew what to do. We were all in disbelief since our friend was motionless under a whopping four feet of water. Before we could shake off the initial shock to rescue him, Theo started swimming along the pool’s bottom like nothing happened.

Bridesmaid

I am Kelly's Cousin and my favorite memory was when all of us granddaughters made cookies for Christmas Eve at Grandmom and Poppy's house.

Groomsman

Theo and I met through our mutual friend Max, who introduced him to our larger friend group from high school. We have since spent tons of time together both in person and online. My favorite memory with Theo is helping him get into World of Warcraft, playing along with him to get him hooked, and then watching him realize that we don't play consistently at all. He's still frustrated about that to this day, right now.

Amanda Lapp

Bridesmaid

I met Kelly through Autumn and Brooke while she was living out in Texas but we become fast friends. My favorite memory of Kelly was when we were out at a bar during Brooke's bachelorette party. The song "Yeah" by Usher came on and Kelly immediately wanted to go to the dance floor. She unfortunately didn't see the step leading to the dance floor and dropped to the ground so fast that she didn't even realize she fell, and continued to sing the song while laying on her back.

Colton Johnson

Groomsman

Met Theo at one of Evan's house parties rocking two 4Lokos. Thats all I needed to know about his personality. My favorite memory is Theo taking a smiling selfie in a pool, with his friends in the background stuck under an inflatable raft.

Autumn Birney

Bridesmaid

There are so many great memories (with quite a few I can't list here, lol) but I'd have to say there's a tie for my favorite. The 1st would be my first sleepover with Kelly to celebrate her birthday in 6th grade. I remember dancing around the living room in our pj's, watching The Princess Bride, and Kelly's dad making us all virgin margaritas. This was also the first time I met our other bestie Brooke. The 2nd would be our freshman year with color guard, where we both fell in love with Quidam. I have so many fond memories of us goofing around on the band bus, winning competitions, and making tosses so high it looked like we were aiming for the stadium lights.

We met (in-person) at one of Evan’s parties in 2017. My favorite memory of Theo was our days spent drinking in the summer sun by Evan’s pool.

Groomsman

I met Theo, probably like a lot of people in the group, while playing video games. We didn’t talk a lot but as I was joining the group and learning about everyone, Theo seemed to always talk in a calm manner and (no matter the game) be down to play games with people. If I were to choose one out of multiple good memories I have with Theo, I would probably go with one of Evan's parties; everyone changing over to their swimsuits and out comes Theo with a bright pink speedo and cannonballs into the pool.

Meeting Theo was a two-time event. The first time was over the Internet in 2017, just playing video games together after he was introduced by our boy Max. I clocked that this guy was super soft-spoken and easygoing (to a fault sometimes), but that's what gave this guy an ultra-friendly vibe that was welcomed by everyone. He'd basically do anything if at least one other person agreed to as well. From that point he became a staple in the group and now we're all here. The second time meeting him (and the first time in person) was at our friend group's (in)famous weekend-long rager at Evan's and noticed he had an uncanny resemblance to the musician Joji. My favorite memory of Theo was at one of the many pool parties Evan hosted (it might've been that weekend rager but there were so many parties I lost track of what happened when). Thoroughly blitzed on 4Loko, Theo flexed that he was basically a swimming superstar in high school. For the party Theo decided to model a hot pink speedo, a remnant from when he was on the Cesar Rodney High School swim team. Someone had the idea to chicken fight in the pool not too soon after. Theo volunteered to sit on Max's shoulders for the fight and while he duked it out with the other pair had me laughing for five minutes straight.
