Kelly and Shea met for the first time on a skiing trip at Shea's parents house in Fleischmann's when Kelly was 13 and Shea was 14 years old. Kelly's Aunt June is best friends with Shea's mom, Michelle, which is how the original link between the two started. They had a blast of a weekend ripping down the mountain together and ended up having big crushes on each other by the end of it. Kelly left to go back to DC and Shea back to New York after the weekend ended. Fifteen years go by, and Kelly moves to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, near where Shea was living at the time. Kelly's maid of honor and cousin, Chelsea B, was visiting from San Francisco and said "I think Shea is going to meet up with us tonight" at a bar called the Lucky Dog in Brooklyn. Kelly and Shea were both separately very excited that they would see each other again after so much time had gone by. Once Shea walked into the bar.. it was an instant re-connection between the two of them. They were magnetically drawn to each other from that moment on and the rest is history!
