Great paved, lakeside trail for walking, running, or biking that extends both North and South of the city. We recommend starting at either South Shore Terrace and heading South or at the Milwaukee Art Museum and heading North for the best views!
The Milwaukee Art Museum sits right on Lake Michigan and is famous for its beautiful “wings” that open and close throughout the day. It’s a quick, scenic stop with stunning views, light-filled spaces, and a great mix of art—perfect if you have a little free time during the weekend.
Our favorite go-to spot for a laid-back, lakefront beer garden with incredible views of Lake Michigan. This beer garden features both drinks and casual food along with relaxed picnic tables and is located along the Oak Leaf Trail heading South.
Milwaukee's award-winning Public Market located in the Historic Third Ward, featuring local food vendors, artisan goods, and cocktails.
After checking out the Milwaukee Public Market, we recommend spending some time strolling, shopping, and checking out the amazing shops, restaurants, and coffee shops in the Historic Third Ward. There is also a beautiful river walk!
This is Shawn's home jiu jitsu gym. There is free open mat on Saturday's at 12pm. He would love it if you join him on September 12th for open mat. Wear appropriate gym clothing.
A Milwaukee staple with excellent beer, cheese curds, and fish fry with outdoor seating along the river—how much more Wisconsin can you get!
This is a scenic, 2-mile hiking trail located within Grant Park in South Milwaukee that features wooden bridges, limestone paths, and beach access. Travel to this location from downtown would require a car. This park can also be accessed directly via the Oak Leaf Trail.
