We're getting married!

Kelly and Sam met in the Spring of 2013 almost one year after they both graduated from Ohio University. Despite having spent the same 4 years in Athens, getting to know many of the same people, and frequenting many of the same places, Kelly and Sam were never introduced to one another. To this day, it baffles both of them that they never met in college, though they both agree, a large part of their relationship’s strong foundation was built well before ever getting to know each other. In the Spring of 2013, Kelly was working for a local company in Columbus and Sam had recently started a new position in Cincinnati. From time to time, Sam would make the drive up to Columbus for a weekend to hangout and catch-up with his buddies from school. During most of his visits to Columbus Sam would stay with Kerry (his Best Man) and his wife Katie (Kelly’s Bridesmaid). Kerry is one of Sam’s best friends and Katie is one of Kelly’s best friends, it would only be a matter of time before Kelly and Sam met. As the year went on, Sam continued to visit Columbus more often which “conveniently” allowed him more opportunities to cross paths with Kelly. By the Fall of 2013 Kelly and Sam were dating. While dating, Kelly and Sam would alternate weekends visiting each other. When Sam would visit Columbus, they enjoyed going out with friends, checking out the newest places, and spending time with Kelly’s family. When Kelly would visit Cincinnati, they enjoyed going to Bengals games, late sushi dinners, and hanging out with the Iris and Alex (Sam’s sister and brother in law) In 2015, after a year and a half of dating long distance, Sam received permission from his company to work remotely and leaped at the chance to move to Columbus to be with Kelly. Since then, they’ve lived in their apartment on 3rd Ave with their dog named Bear, loving life together and keeping each other young.
