Wedding Venue (for reference)
Next to Willow Park on the map above. We are listing it here so that you can see where the other areas are in relation to the venue. Several of these recommendations are nearby in Weatherford. There are more things to do in Fort Worth but it is about a 20-30 minute drive.
Antebellum Ale House and BBQ Food Truck (our top recommendation)
Antebellum has really friendly staff, a lot of beers on tap, and outdoor seating. It is a great atmosphere. They also have a food truck nearby with some of the best BBQ in the area, so you can knock out two things in one visit. Near but not quite walkable to Edgewise Eight, Shep's, Northside Remedy, and local shops.
Northside Remedy
They have some great cocktails and a nice ambiance. Some outdoor seating. You can walk around to some other nearby locations on this list (Edgewise Eight, Antebellum) and some local shops. Kelly loved the espresso martini.
Edgewise Eight Brewing

Utilizing multiple years of professional and personal brewing experience.
Shep's (has games and stuff for kids)
Family-friendly spot offering creative burgers, pressed sandwiches, hot dogs & a big beer selection. Serves happy hour food · Serves great cocktails · Has live music (sometimes). Indoor and outdoor seating.
Whistle Hill's Downtown Cafe (great breakfast)
Knock for their hearty breakfast menu. Located in downtown Weatherford.
Dulce Panda Creamery
A great local ice cream place!
Chandor Gardens
Chandor Gardens captures both the ornate design of ancient Chinese architecture and the elegance of a formal English garden. The 3.5-acre estate leads its visitors on a meandering path of beauty and wonderment. Small (much smaller than the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens) but in the Weatherford area.
Mule Alley
Lots of great restaurants and bars in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards.
Fort Worth Botanic Gardens
Fall foliage should be in full bloom at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. If you make the drive out, make sure to stop by the Japanese Garden inside. It is a favorite of ours.
Fort Worth Zoo
Fort Worth Zoo is home to more than 500 species of animals, has a wide array of indoor and outdoor exhibits.
Rahr & Sons Brewing
A great local Fort Worth brewery with daily tastings.
Panther Island Brewing
Another local Fort Worth brewery.
