Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5pm. We recommend you plan to arrive at the venue by 4:30pm to allow for parking, the walk to the ceremony location, and time to get settled in your seats prior to 5pm.

Question

Is there a shuttle available from my hotel to the venue?

Answer

Shuttles will be available to take guests from the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Wingate by Wyndham hotels to Big Spring Farm and from Big Spring Farm back to these three hotels at the end of the night. Shuttle sign-up sheets will be available in lobby beginning Thursday afternoon. If you are planning on taking the shuttle from the hotel to the venue, please ensure you sign up for the shuttle in the lobby of your hotel when you check in. The sign up sheet will specify the time that the shuttle will leave your hotel. Shuttles will leave promptly. Please plan accordingly. All guests will be required to wear a mask on the shuttles. Please ensure you have a mask with you. The ride from the hotel to the venue is roughly 10 minutes. You may choose to drive yourself to the venue, leave the car overnight, and take one of the shuttles back to the hotel. Any cars left overnight must be picked up no later than 10am Saturday morning.

Question

Can I drive myself to Big Spring Farm?

Answer

Yes! You are welcome to drive yourself and park at the farm. The address is 104 Fredericksburg Rd, Lexington VA. There is a long gravel driveway which will lead you to the parking area. You may choose to leave your car at the farm at the end of the night and take one of the shuttles back to your hotel. Any cars left overnight must be picked up no later than 10am Saturday morning.

Question

Can I take pictures at the Ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you leave your phone in your pocket or purse during the ceremony and leave the photography to our amazing professional photographers. While we ask that you do not take photos during the ceremony, we encourage you to take pictures during cocktail hour and the reception. Don't forget to tag your pictures with #PopLockAndDocIt

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire. When planning your footwear please keep in mind that the ceremony will be held in the grass and cocktail hour will be a combination of grass and gravel.

Question

Any insider tips?

Answer

- On your way to cocktail hour, grab one of our specialty cocktails from Doc's Dock bar - If you're a fan of craft beer, ask the bar for an IPA from one of our favorite local breweries in NY and VA - Check the front of the barn for water, lemonade, sweet tea, unsweet tea, and hot tea - Don't miss the dessert truck parked by the dance floor where you will find hot coffee, gelato, mini key lime pies, and cannoli all made locally in Lexington by Pronto Caffé & Gelateria

Question

What COVID Protocols will be in place?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors and the reception will be held in an open air barn with large sliding doors open on either side to allow for ample airflow. All vendors will be wearing masks throughout the event and high touch surfaces will be disinfected hourly. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout. Based on conversations we've had with friends and family we believe that at least 95% of adults attending the wedding will be fully vaccinated by June 4th. Taking this and the outdoor nature of the event into consideration, guests will not be required to wear a mask at any time while at Big Spring Farm but are welcome to do so at their own discretion. Any guests taking the shuttles to/from the hotels will be required to wear a mask on the shuttle so be sure to have a mask with you. Shuttles will be disinfected in between each trip and drivers will be wearing masks. If you have any specific concerns or questions please do not hesitate to reach out
