The Oklahoma City National Memorial is an outdoor symbolic memorial that honors the victims, survivors, rescuers, and all who were affected by the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19, 1995. It encompasses the soil where the Murrah Building once stood, and features the following symbolic elements along with many others: The Gates of Time, The Reflecting Pool, Field of Empty Chairs, and Survivor Tree.
The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City is America’s premier institution of Western history, art and culture. Founded in 1955, the Museum collects, preserves and exhibits an internationally renowned collection of Western art and artifacts while sponsoring dynamic educational programs to promote interest in the enduring legacy of the American West. Scissortail Park, named for the state bird of Oklahoma, is a 70-acre public space located south of Myriad Botanical Gardens.
