We officially met in 2019 on a group outing to the Museum of Ice Cream in San Francisco, thanks to one of my best friends, Tara Baldini, who was dating Nils’s brother, Lars Klovdahl. Tara and Lars later got married in Monterey—with Nils as Best Man and me as a bridesmaid. The day after their wedding, August 8, 2022, we spent the day together exploring the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Santa Cruz’s Mystery Spot, unknowingly kicking off the beginning of our life together. We are excited to return to Carmel Valley and Monterey four years later to celebrate our marriage, surrounded by our loved ones.
