Our relationship began in February of 2017, strangely unbeknownst to us. Let us explain. As 20-something post-grads in Arlington, we both frequented the illustrious Clarendon bar scene. One fateful night that no one remembers (a common occurrence, as any Arlington 20-something can attest) Kelly walks away with Nathan’s number in her phone. And then, over 5 years go by. In July 2022, we connected on Bumble. After a sparks-flying first date, phone numbers were exchanged only to realize we had met before. We’re not much for fairy-tale-love-at-first-sight, but something about this missed-connection-come-to-be felt very right for both of us. Flash forward a year later and our love was growing stronger every day. We move in together, Kelly’s pink–princess-everything finds its place next to Nate’s elevated finance bro style. Nathan decides to lock down his princess forever, getting down on one knee at sunset on the Aegean sea during a romantic vacation to Greece. We love our life together in Northern Virginia, with our fun, snuggly and handsome dog Romeo, close to both of our families and our favorite DMV hangouts. Looking back on our Clarendon days, we’d never expect to meet our soulmate in a dark Don Tito’s bar. But life brought us together again, and we’re so excited that this time, Kelly’s not walking away into the blackout Arlington abyss. This time, it’s forever.
