On September 17, 2011, Karma smiled and our paths crossed. The initial interaction was brief and not too impressive. But Karma was relentless and insistent, and not to be denied... Four weeks later, we had our first dive together and as a bonus, we also carved our first pumpkins underwater. There was super high air consumption, mask flooding, up our noses, with tears of laughter from inverted diving trying to swim the pumpkins to the bottom. Who knew that Pumpkins Floated!!! But the PfD's got it done!!! And a wonderful friendship ensued and eventually blossomed into Best Friends and a wonderful loving relationship. Eleven years later, we both have progressed through the ranks and have Dual DMs, OWSDIs, CD’s, FRTI, 18 specialties, and the ability to teach them all to both Students and other Instructors. Most importantly we have thousands dives and over a month underwater …….Together. .... And that’s just the Diving Stuff! An opportunity presented itself a couple of years ago to try out some kayaks while visiting our daughter in Alaska and we instantly took to it. We picked up a couple of boats the following year and have been exploring our local waters. Last year, we managed to visit the sea caves at Apostle Islands National Park. We discovered that paddling on Lake Superior is a force to be reckoned with. …….Together. During Covid we adopted two of the most adorable kittens (Zander & Zena) and are having a blast being cat parents. These cutie pies were born in Kentucky and rescued from a kill shelter only to find their way into our arms. It was fate. We often laugh together wondering if they could talk, would they have a Southern accent? We are looking forward to many years of fun times with them. …….Together.
