https://www.thurstoncountywa.gov/departments/public-works/parks-trails-0/burfoot-park Please refer to this map if you would like a better visual of the parking, bathrooms, the forest shelter and the trek down to the beach. Please look before you get to the park -- there is not very good cell reception and we don't want you getting lost... Big Foot is out there...
Semi formal - However, please keep in mind that the trail down to the beach is steep and may have spots of mud, loose rock, and roots exposed. Please wear appropriate shoes for this part of the event and save your heels for the dance floor NO JEANS

Go North on East Bay Drive. This turns into Boston Harbor Road. Burfoot Park will be on the Left. - If you get to the stop sign, you've gone too far
Parking is going to be TIGHT. If possible, please try to carpool for ease of parking. This is a public park which will also take away from possible parking. Arriving early is the best bet to ensure you have a spot.
YES - But this comes with a disclaimer. There are not very many bathrooms and they are far away from the Forest Shelter and even further from the beach so please be aware of this.
Great question - There are many trails from the woods to the beach in Burfoot. We will have numerous people along the path comprised of friends and family members making sure you get to the ceremony spot safely.
Heck no! If you would prefer to stay at the forest shelter please do. We don't mind at all and we know not everyone is always up for an adventure. Save your energy and kick the cocktail party off with a bang for us! Also, if you don't want to go to the ceremony at all and would rather meet us for the after party at the Olympia Ballroom, that is OK too! Please do whatever your heart desires.
I'm glad you asked. The park does have an ADA access point to the beach which we will be using for those that need it. Please let us know ahead of time so we can formulate a timeline to ensure everyone gets down there!
Yes We have decided to not bring chairs to the beach as this would be more work than we are wanting to do. We promise the ceremony will be short! AND if you are needing a chair, please let us know! We do have access to chairs so for those that want them we will provide them.
After the ceremony, everyone will return to the forest shelter for a mini cocktail hour. Beverages will be provided. Mingling is encouraged and if you feel like you want to dance, that is acceptable as well. After that the party will move to the Olympia Ballroom in downtown Olympia -- The goal is to be to the ballroom by 5 so we can get you and your family some delicious food!
Honestly, wherever you can. Parking is also going to be a little rough down there so find a spot and snag it up! Good news -- Parking is FREE! There is plenty of parking down by the lake - it's about a 4 block walk from there.
Food, Drinks, Dancing and a whole lot of fun!!
