Our pastors always encouraged us to “find a spouse in the house” and I am so thankful we did! We met because he started serving on the safety team(which is one of the teams that I lead at the church). We both were always a little interested, however, I exhausted my go-to question of “how was work this week” every. single. Sunday. To only have him answer with “work is work”! It made me think he was uninterested and left him thinking I was just being a good leader! After about a year of my poor attempt to “flirt”- and God’s perfect timing…I sent one of my sweet students to Matthew to ask for advice on how to create something for a group gathering and we haven’t stopped talking since! Matthew took me to coffee where we both say that is when we knew this was the real deal. Shortly after that he asked me to be his girlfriend, because he never wanted me to question his intentions for me and us. That is just a snapshot of the love story that God is writing for us! We are so honored to have each of you a part our story on our Wedding Day🤍✨
