Zuzka and I met my freshman year in college when we were both running cross country and track at Salisbury. We spent a ton of time together - between suffering through 15-mile runs in the summer, freezing cold track workouts at 6 AM before class and the fairly boring lifestyle we had to maintain as 3-season athletes. When we actually did have a free weekend without a track meet and could go out to a bar, we'd get all excited and dressed up, only to end up leaving together - not having spoken to any guys. We definitely looked like we were dating since we were joined at the hip all night and were totally unclear about how to talk to guys but, in hindsight, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way and Zuzka has been one of the most reliable, best friends I’ve ever known to this day.

Kelsey and I met on a dating site about 4 years ago...just kidding - we met on Craigslist (same thing, right?) when I was looking for a roommate. She moved in and brought her adorable pit bull mix, Carmen, who immediately became bffs with Dewey. When I moved out after a few years to live with Matt, Kelsey moved in with her boyfriend 3 blocks away from us and on the same street in Hampden. So, suffice it to say, it's a relationship that was meant to be.

Heather "Rosie" Conway

Rosie and I met in 2009 when I applied to bartend at a hole-in-the-wall bar in Ocean City for my first bartending job with zero experience. She also didn't have bartending experience, also didn't love brushing or styling her hair, and loved being a total goof with me. Everyone always said we looked like sisters and we definitely acted like it, so it goes without saying that she quickly became and still is one of my best friends ever.

TJ and I became good friends in high school. We really hit it off when Jared, TJ, and I found ourselves sitting alone in TJ’s basement watching tv weekend after weekend.

Liz and I go way back to 2011. We met through mutual friends when I moved downtown and quickly realized we were two peas in a pod when we started playing social league kickball. We'd both become irrationally mad when people on our team didn't take the games seriously and acted like 'social league' kickball was... 'social league kickball'. We went to the Dominican Republic together (which was the best), had cat playdates, lost each other at Preakness a number of times, lost each other out in Fells Point and Canton a number of times, and she was my main constant all the years I lived downtown. Then she had to be all mean and move to Atlanta where she lives with her awesome husband and adorable baby boy.

Danielle and I met 10 years ago at college in a super prestigious course titled 'Outdoor Leadership' that promised to equip up with essential life skills. This class involved us going on camping trips, playing games, and many other memorable activities that garnered us the easiest college credit possible. Suffice it to say that we made many memories back then and have been best friends ever since, especially since we both live in Baltimore. We also almost missed our names being called on graduation day, but there's a limited word count here, so that's a story for another day.
