Milwaukee

The Wedding Website of KATHERINE HAHN and KELLY MCGEE
We absolutely adore Milwaukee, and we know you will too. Milwaukee is the setting of our love story. It is where we fell in love, and where we got engaged. Now, it is where we will get married! Here are some of our favorite things to do and places to see in Milwaukee: a city that is so special to us.

McKinley Park Government Pier

E Lafayette Hill Rd, Milwaukee, WI 53202

The McKinley Park Pier is especially important to us, as it is where Katherine proposed. On a nice day, McKinley Park is a beautiful place to walk, picnic, and enjoy ... & on a horribly cold and windy day, McKinley Park is a great place to get engaged.

Milwaukee Public Market

400 North Water Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202

This notable location in the heart of downtown Milwaukee was (no surprise) another essential date spot for the beginning of our relationship. The public market has an assortment of local vendors and is a great place to grab a drink or a quick bite to eat. We would take turns buying each other bouquets from the man at the flower cart (who is still there today).

Antiques on Pierce

1512 West Pierce Street, Milwaukee, WI 53204

We both share a love for antique shopping and vintage finds. This four-story antique mall is a one-of-a-kind place we frequented throughout our time in Milwaukee. The morning of our engagement, we picked out antique cocktail picks and a carved marble box.

Marquette University

1421 West Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53310

Marquette University was the place where we first met. Nostalgia overwhelms us whenever we return to the streets of this campus which holds endless memories. It serves as the backdrop for many of our early relationship run-ins. Make sure you stop by the Joan of Arc Chapel, which contains a stone where Joan of Arc is said to have prayed and kissed in 1429. Legend has it this stone is noticeably colder to the touch than those surrounding it.
