Where can we stay if the hotels are booked or priced at a ridiculous price?

Answer

The wedding venue is by the river in Louisville. That means you can stay anywhere in Louisville or right across the river in Jeffersonville, Clarksville or New Albany Indiana. Bullitt County (Shepherdsville or Mount Washington, KY) isn't too far either. Don't forget to check for Airbnb or VRBO's, after searching for a few there are some out there cheaper than a hotel. Airbnb's price is the total end price, all fees included when you see the price.

When do tickets go on sale for the events Derby weekend?

Answer

In the past, tickets have gone on sale at the end of December. This year, it seems that only Oaks and Derby tickets are on sale already. Thurby tickets will not be available for sale until the end of January. As soon as they do, those who have reached out, we will contact you to let you know.

Question

Will dinner be at the same location as the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony and the reception will be at Mellwood Art Center in the Monet Room. Dinner will be served around 5:30p. No cash needed for dinner, but don't forget to tip the Taco truck and the bartender.

What can we wear?

Answer

Whatever you would like! It is a wedding, but it is not formal and there will be a lot of dancing, all night long, so be comfortable!

What tickets do we buy if we want to attend the Derby?

Answer

You can go to Churchilldowns.com or the Kentuckyderby.com and purchase tickets through those sites. On both sites you can click get tickets and it will take you to ticket master.
