Things To Do

We go for coffee here many Saturday mornings; it's the best around! Really good brunch, too. Hours are 7:30-3 p.m. on Saturday and 8-3 on Sunday.

Café 43 Coffeehouse

This Midwest wine is actually good! And women-owned! And a really cool atmosphere! Hours are noon-7 p.m. on the weekend.

American Wine Project

Great place for beers and small plates, located across the street from the Walker House! Open 4-7 p.m.

Commerce Street Brewery Hotel

Pair the Hillsboro Snappy IPA with the Friday Fish Fry! Yum!

Tony's Tap

We love the wood fire pizza, Italian food, wine... great atmosphere. They can get busy on the weekends, though, so you may need to wait a bit for a table! They close at 8 p.m., so go or call in early.

Midway Lanes Bar and Grill

Tour this lovely 1868 historic Italianate home. No reservation necessary, just show up at the top of the hour 12-4 p.m. Fri, Sat, or Sun. $7 for adults.
