Do I need to bring a gift?

Due to travel requirements from everyone, all we ask for is your presence. If you truly wish to bring something there will be a wishing well present at the reception :)

Where do I arrive?

Answer

You cannot drive onto the movie set. There is a parking area at the visitor's centre (The Shire's Rest). If you do not want to drive to The Shire's Rest, a shuttle will be available to pick people up from the Matamata i-Site.

Is there organised accommodation??

There are two motels in Matamata who have penciled in accommodation for us from the 18th to the 21st Feb. This is only available until the 1st October 2026. **__When booking advise that you are wanting to book for the Clarke-Dyer wedding. __** Tower Rd Motel Approx 3 min walk from town-centre/iSite Ph: 0278693773 Website: towerroadmotel.co.nz They have 2 cabins/5 rooms, Family rooms: 1 king-sized bed plus 1 king, or 2 twin. $170 plus $20 extra per person, per night Studio: 1 queen plus 1 twin $210 plus $20 extra per person per night Rooms sleep 1 to 4 people Prices from $185 to $245 per night. If all rooms booked for the wedding then there is a 10% discount. Will be sorted at leaving. Broadway Motel, Matamata. Ph: 0508 128128 Broadway has motel rooms and villas. Studios from $195 single per night, $225 for twin/double and $25 each extra person per night. Villas from $225 for single, $250 twin/double and $25 extra each person per night. Be aware, accommodation is being booked fast as the National Kapa Haka competitions are being held in Matamata over this period. They inform they already have reservations for other people but they will hold some for the wedding, so first in first served.
