We met on the dating app, Tinder, after we both swiped right on each other's picture. Shortly after a few text exchanges, Gregory asked Kelly out on a date. Greg strategically selected the build-your-own stir-fry restaurant, Chow Baby, as their first date. Boosting "since I don't know what kind of food you like yet, if you build your own meal, and don't like it, that's your bad"! Sparks flew immediately! We didn't want the date to end, so we headed over to Pinkberry. Gregory being from rural Mississippi, had never heard of Pinkberry, had frozen yogurt and wondered what was so special about Pinkberry and why it cost SO much. Since that day, we have been on a journey to experience as many new experiences together as we can!
After dating for 4.5 years and moving from Georgia to DC together, we knew that marriage was not far off. With plans of proposing on Memorial Day, Greg worked tirelessly to design the perfect ring. Unfortunately the ring was not completed in the 2 months originally estimated, it took 3! One Thursday morning, Greg received a call that the ring had finally arrived. Before Greg could hang up the phone, he asked Kelly to spend forever with him. We decided that day, that it was "the day". Why wait?! Hopelessly in love, we rushed to the courthouse and eloped. While we married just us two, we look forward to toasting to our marriage surrounded by love, laughter (and champagne) with our closest family and friends! K❤G
