Once upon a time, Ingrid and Ed Battista lived next door to Lorraine and Bert Brotsche in Worth, IL. The Battista's are Dylan's grandparents and the Brotsche's are Kelly's great aunt and uncle. The two couples became close friends during a snow storm. Ingrid explained that her and Ed were on the roof of their ranch home to clear the snow off when their ladder blew over. Waving to Lorraine and Bert, who were walking through their home, for help was mistaken as waving "Hello!". Lorraine and Bert, being some of the friendliest people, waved "Hello!" multiple times before stepping outside to assess. From then on, the neighbors were inseparable. Ingrid and Ed's daughter, Jenna, befriended Lorraine and Bert's granddaughter, Chrissy, which led to decades of friendship. Fast forward to August 2020. A time where life had been flipped upside down for everyone, including Kelly and Dylan who had met through mutal friends- that are now in the bridal party! One weekend at Eastern Illinois University (of all places) was all it took to know we were meant to meet eachother. Months into our relationship, Kelly was telling her cousin Chrissy about her boyfriend and the connection was made. Chrissy was thrilled to share all about her frienship with Jenna and growing up together, and stories of Ingrid, Ed, Lorraine and Bert! There are even photos of Kelly's great Aunt Lorraine holding Dylan as a baby, and again with her, Dylan and Nolan as small children. When the universe intertwines people's lives, it is always for a reason! We cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
