Our Story
The Meeting
August-September 2022
Dalton and Kelly met online as most people do nowadays (shoutout to Hinge). They texted and FaceTimed for a couple of weeks before finally meeting in person. Despite living 1.5 hours apart, they knew they'd met someone special from the jump. Dalton was enamored when Kelly gave him homework in their first week of meeting. Kelly was enamored when he wrote out bullet point responses to the questions she gave him.
The Dating Period
September 2022-February 2023
Since the beginning, Kelly and Dalton have had a blast spending time together. From trying new restaurants, to hiking, to game nights with friends, concerts, musicals, and much more, their dates have been full of activities and bonding. The most contentious date was their at home Bob Ross painting night...you can decide whose finished product is better.
And They Were Roommates
February 2023-September 2023
During this period of time, Dalton and Kelly lived together for the first time at an apartment in Lakewood, OH. They spent a lot of time making family dinners and walking to Roasted with their neighbor Julia. Towards the end of this era, Dalton and Kelly purchased their first home in Bay Village, OH. Fun fact: Julia was the first person to know that their offer was accepted, and celebratory porch mimosas ensued!
There's No Place Like Home
September 2023-July 2024
While Kelly was travel-nursing in Toledo, Dalton was helping to make their new house a home. Two special additions contributed along the way. The couple adopted their first dog Cooper in November 2023. Their other pup Riley quickly followed in April 2024. Roger and Eevee - the cats - have been thrilled ever since. Special thanks to Dalton for enduring the puppy stage alone! Oh, by the way, Kelly was proposed to on July 19, 2024 with both dogs present. Thankfully, she said yes.
The Wife Elect Term
July 2024-September 2025
The two lovebirds spent the time from getting engaged to exchanging vows traveling the country and the world. A few of their favorite destinations included the Galapagos Islands, Montana, Montreal, and New York City. Somehow, they found themselves on top of a ridgeline in Alberta, Canada exchanging vows and crying - were Dalton's tears from joy or his fear of heights? The world may never know.
The End-ish
September 2025-Present
Since marrying, Dalton and Kelly have been loving life together. They both ran full marathons, enjoyed crafts (i.e. polymer clay molding, candle making, Lego sets, etc.), and spent lots of time with their fur babies. Some things they're looking forward to in 2026 include attending friends' weddings, landscaping at their house, their reception party, and a trip to Vienna, Budapest, and Prague (honeymoon part two electric boogaloo).
