So Kelly already knew he had the ring and was eagerly waiting for Collin to pop the question. She had searched their entire home from top to bottom just to get a sneak peek at the ring but Collin had done an annoyingly excellent job at hiding it. When they planned a weekend get away up North Kelly was thinking "Finally! This is it!" They enjoyed a very romantic weekend at a beautiful resort but when the last day came and Collin hadn’t proposed yet Kelly started to worry. They packed their bags and loaded up the car to head back home. Collin was driving and then took a turn off the main road into what seemed like the middle of nowhere. They drove for some time when she finally asked where they were going. He just smiled and said 'You'll see." Eventually, they arrived at Hartwick Pines, one of the largest state parks in the Lower Peninsula with 49 acres of old growth white pine. They visited the old logging museum and explored the park hand in hand. They took a walk through the wintry pines and then finally he dropped to one knee in the snow and asked her to be his forever. He slipped the ring on her finger and tears ran down her cheeks as the snow was falling. She cried "YES" and just like that they were engaged!
