We first met at a party while attending Eastern Kentucky University through a mutual friend. We hit it off immediately, however, timing just wasn't quite on our side. We remained friends over the next few years and then we saw each other for the first time in over year on Kelly's birthday while she was in Nashville visiting a college friend. From that moment, we knew we wanted to try to find a way to make things work, but knew it would be tough since Kelly was living in Connecticut and Cole was in Kentucky. With a bit of a leap of faith, Kelly made the decision to move back to Kentucky to live with a friend from college. From there the rest is history!
A Christmas Proposal?! Kelly never saw it coming and that was exactly how Cole planned it. Kelly & Cole were visiting Kelly's family for the holidays in Connecticut. It was Christmas Eve and they were at Kelly's mom's house for holiday celebrations. Before dinner, everyone decided to take pictures in front of the tree. Cole took a picture of Kelly, her mom, aunt and grandma and then decided to try to take advantage of having everyone in the room. Cole asked Kelly to take a picture for his mom. As she handed the phone to her Aunt Chrissy to take the picture, Cole was getting down on one knee. Kelly turned around and couldn't believe what was happening. Shari had walked out of the room to check on dinner and missed the whole thing happen. Thankfully, Chrissy was able to get pictures of it happening. The celebrations continued with friends and family through the holidays.
