Brian was with his college friends on a typical night out. Kelly was visiting her cousin in Buffalo for the weekend. Brian and Kelly happened to be next to each other in a local bar. Kelly tapped Brian on the shoulder, struck up a conversation, and the rest is history!

After getting to know each other long distance, daily phone calls, and weekend trips, Kelly decided to move to Buffalo for grad school and they were finally together in the same place! After several years living in Buffalo, Kelly and Brian decided to move to a new city to call their own. They built a life they love— full of hiking with their dog Reya, biking around the upstate NY lakes, and of course, lots of visiting friends and family!

While Kelly had no idea, Brian had been plotting the sweetest surprise for months. One special weekend when Kelly’s whole family was in her hometown (a rare thing), Brian took Kelly on one of their favorite hikes. At the top, her sister Kate sneakily snapped photos as Brian got down on one knee to propose. Their pup Reya was by their side the whole time. When they returned to Kelly’s parents’ after the hike, the house was full of friends and family- including Brian’s family who drove down from Buffalo as a surprise! Tears were shed, toasts were given, and lots of love went around. It was their happiest moment to date.
