We were acquaintances back at the University of Arizona, but it was a message more than 7 years later that would allow us to reconnect. Living in different states, Bobby asked if he could take me out on a date next time he was in California for work. Little did he know, LA was a little ways from Laguna Beach during rush hour traffic. 3 hours later, he arrived to Skyloft on time and neither of us wanted the night to end. From then on, we planned our next dates and went back and forth long distance for a while until finally settling down in Arizona. That is how a simple text led to us being in the perfect place at the perfect time with the perfect person for each other. Cheers to a two word text for the win!
Bobby planned for us to take pictures in front of our new "first" house we just purchased on the day of closing! Little did I know, Bobby had a little more surprises planned. About 15 minutes into our photos, I turn around and find him on one knee. He had an entire, perfect, speech planned and he was running through and all I remember is cutting him off mid-way and saying "yes, yes, yes". After that, we opened champaign in our new backyard and were surprised by both our parents (and pregnant sister at the time joining via Facetime). I know the plans changed a few times, but it was perfect. It was so special having our families there and having the forever memory of our proposal in front of our brand new house. I said yes to the address and the ring on the same day! And I would say "yes, yes, yes" a million times over again. See you in Arizona! Don't forget your dancing shoes...it's going to be a celebration!
