If you take anything from this story, let it be a reminder to always shoot your shot. I just started working at a car dealership and immediately noticed “Jordan” from across the room. I was too scared to talk to him and I didn’t even know that wasn’t his first name, but come to find out he was eyeing me as well and was too scared to approach me. We talked a little bit but I waited until the company Christmas party for some liquid courage to help me with my plan of winning him over. I had the help of some coworkers to get us talking, but turns out I didn’t need to do much convincing as he liked me as well. From the moment we started talking and laughing together we have been inseparable ever since. He is my best friend, and I am his. We have learned how to overcome tough times together, learned how to love each other best and understand each other’s emotions, and learned to never give up on each other. He inspires me to work hard for our future and never stop growing. We got our first place together and have two cats who may as well be our children. You might catch us watching 911, a scary movie, or in the popeyes drive thru for some biscuits. Surprises are both of our love languages and we try to do this as much as possible. Above all, BJ has encouraged me to seek God even when I’m doubting, and has loved and cared for me so gently and perfectly. I strive every day to do the same for him and to always build him up when the world tries to bring him down. We are so excited to be that person for each other for the rest of our lives and we can’t wait to celebrate with everyone that has played a part in our story.
