We met on Facebook dating in early September. It was right when FB dating had just become a thing. We each really liked that one another was in recovery. We lived an hour away from each other so we talked on the phone and FaceTimed for a month+ before meeting in person to really get to know each other which was an awesome decision. Our first date was to the fair in Montgomery on October 17th, 2019 and we decided to become an official couple that night!!

With the fireworks finale going off and my kids running around having fun, he snuck to his trunk and put on a formal shirt he had hidden and said real loud “I have a question for you!” I said “What are you doing?!” He got down on one knee and my daughter Aurora said “Oh my GOSH is he PROPOSING?!?” Ben said “Will you marry me?” I of course said “yes” and people started clapping and whistling hahah.
