Yes! Cell phones don't work well on the mountain, so you'll want to print and bring these directions with you. Follow them to Stoney Lick Farm at ThorpeWood. http://thorpewood.org/directions/directions-from-the-dc-or-baltimore-areas
Joyful! Celebratory! Participatory! The ceremony won't be a "spectator sport" -- we'll be asking you to cheer, shout, wave ribbons, and generally bestow good will and blessings on the happy couple. With our friends Sabrina and Billy officiating, the ceremony will have some storytelling, fun songs, and opportunities for YOU to help bless the rings and the marriage.
Think "outdoor garden party" ... and then have fun with it. Colorful clothing, fairy wings, outrageous hats, and other festive attire is encouraged. For shoes, please plan to wear flats or wedges, as we'll be on grass (with a bit of a walk) for the ceremony.
Yep, our caterer can help with vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free diets, etc. Just let us know when you RSVP.
The ceremony will be held in an arboretum, with a short walk across grass to the ceremony site. Golf carts and seating at the ceremony will be available for anyone requiring assistance.
