FAQs

The Wedding Website of Caroline Kellogg and Joey Betland
Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

We’ve chosen not to have a traditional wedding party because we consider all of you part of it. For this reason, we kindly ask you to do your best to follow the black-tie optional dress code and dress within our chosen color palette (colors at the top of this page), so everyone looks beautifully cohesive in photos. But please don't go out of your way to buy something that meets the color scheme - it's not THAT serious! • Ladies: Dressy floor-length dress or pantsuit • Gents: A tux or dark suit; either bow tie or no tie The ceremony and reception will be held mostly outdoors. We suggest you monitor the weather and bring layers (e.g., nice peacoat, pashmina) if it's expected to be chilly.

Question

How should I get to the wedding?

Answer

Transportation will be provided to and from the wedding. We are exploring different options (e.g., shuttle, streetcar, Uber/Lyft, parking) and will provide full details closer to the wedding date.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your kids, we have decided to make our wedding an adults-only event. We hope you can relax, let loose, and enjoy a night out with us. A private nursing room will be available for those who may need it. If you decide to bring your kids for the weekend, they are more than welcome at the other festivities!

Question

What will the weather be like in November?

Answer

New Orleans is typically cool and sunny in November. Temps range from low 70s in the day to the mid to low 50s at night; however, this past year it was in the 80s. There can be occasional showers this time of year, but definitely check your weather app in the weeks leading up to the wedding!
