Unplugged Ceremony

Answer

Please make note that we will be having an unplugged ceremony. This means we are asking you to refrain from pulling out your phone or cameras while we are taking each other’s hand in marriage. We have hired a lovely photographer named Chelsea to take capture our special day and once we have received those photos we will be happy to share them with you all.

We have decided not to provide a bar, with that being said you are welcome to bring your own beverages.

FOOD

Answer

We will be having a Steak potluck dinner. The meat will be provided by the couple and cooked by the 4-H Club from Slave Lake. The side dishes will be provided by our guests. We also ask to bring a copy of the recipe for the couple so they can create a family cookbook! There will be a section in the RSVP to include any food allergies we need to be aware of as well as a section to let us know which side dish you can bring. There will be gluten friendly options available as the bride is gluten free.

WEDDING GIFTS

Your presence is our present. In lieu of gifts, we invite you to join us for a fun evening/weekend celebrating our marriage! For those who prefer, contributions toward our honeymoon are also gratefully accepted.

DRESS CODE

Answer

Daytime attire - think semi-formal meets casual but with more freedom. Ladies pull out that cute dress in your closet that you’ve kept but never had anywhere to wear it to. Men pull out your suit pants and toss on a nice polo shirt to go with it. If you got a suit that’s okay too! Dress for Alberta summer weather. Keep in mind a warm layer for the night.

Can I bring a guest?

If your invitation includes a plus one, it will be noted on your RSVP form. Unfortunately, we're unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those listed.

Venue location - Ceremony/Reception

Answer

Both our ceremony and reception will take place in a beautiful field located just below my parents' home. You can find us at 12026 Old Smith Highway, and we'll have directional signs posted starting from Highway 2 to guide you all the way to the venue.
