How We Met

January 17, 2016

Our mutual friends, Andrew (Best Man), and Margo (Maid of Honor), are good friends. Andrew was working an event at Gruene Hall. Margo wanted to take Kellie with her to the concert. Luke asked Margo to pick him and Brodie (groomsman) up to take them to the concert too. Luke thought Kellie was the funniest person he had ever met, and Kellie thought it was fun entertaining this quiet guy. So after that night, Luke kept trying to get his friends to invite her friends to events so Kellie would come around more. He added her on Snapchat and then something just clicked. That's pretty much when we thought "This could be something."

The Proposal

December 20, 2018

Kellie went to Disney World the weekend before the proposal for a bachelorette party. While she was away Luke wrote her a song, "Marry Me", to preform for her the following weekend. He told her he planned an entire weekend filled with Christmas activities, but wouldn't tell her where they were going. On the first night he brought his guitar and took her to a small bar that was having an open-mic night. He opened with one song, then sang his proposal song. He pulled her on stage and then got down on one knee and popped the question, and then we were engaged!
