We’re getting married!

Kellie and Karan's journey first began in Salt Lake City, where they met at EnerBank. What started as casual conversations around the office soon grew into something more, thanks in part to after-work happy hours with friends at Purgatory. Karan had been wanting to ask Kellie out for a while, but with Kellie’s mom actively setting her up with other people, the timing never quite felt right. Eventually, after one particularly fun evening with friends, Karan finally sent a text—from the work parking lot, no less—that changed everything. In May 2023, they went on their first date… and never looked back. From there, their relationship blossomed. Lunches at work turned into small daily rituals, and company events became a backdrop to something much bigger. They filled their days with laughter, weekend adventures, and time with the friends who helped bring them together. That summer, they hiked Utah’s trails, road-tripped to Southern Utah, and made it their mission to explore everything Salt Lake City had to offer. Winter brought fresh snow—and a new challenge—as Karan taught Kellie how to snowboard. Between Jazz games (and now hockey nights!), cooking meals together, and traveling to places like Africa, California, Seattle, and Austin, they built a life full of joy, adventure, and connection. Then, on April 18, 2025, Karan proposed on a beach in Southern California—a place close to both of their hearts, and where their roots began. And now, exactly one year later, on April 18, 2026, they’ll begin the next chapter—promising forever to one another.
